This is a project that although was planned in advance changed substantially between the time we started the house and now. This is the junction box for the new security system for the shop that will be part of the house security system. When we first planned this there was a thought of making this a seperate system from the house so the phone line was all that was needed. But now it makes sense to make it part of the whole house system.
So to make the change I needed to install this junction box for the expansion module. I am locating it near the electrical panel and provided a conduit from the left side of the panel and then up to the attic. I had to remove some of the sheet rock to get the conduit in place and will next need to provide a new conduit from the house to the shop to feed the signal cable for the system.
