I didn't do any work on the shop today but thought this .

was as good as any place to put pictures of the neighbors work. The price of corn must be up because he is moving corn and the red you see on the snow is not trick photography or enhancement of the color. This is the red corn kernal husk, also called "bees wings." It blew our way and caught in the snow drifts. And just in case you think it is just a fine layer on the surface look at the picture below. I dug a hole in it and this spot is well over 4 inches deep and so light and fluffy that if the wind changes we'll have a red blizzard for a few minutes.

The south half of the yard was spared the red drifts so I snapped this shot just to show how pretty and Iowa winter sunset can be.
