The head cold continues, actually now a chest cold, but I just couldn’t waste the day setting around complaining about the body aches this thing has given me. So I went to work to build a cabinet to hold my handsaws. In the days gone by handsaws played a huge part in cabinet building, but today their use is a bit limited. But my collection of saws, although modest by some standards, needs a home away from the dust and moisture problems that comes from being covered with dust. The cabinet is relatively simple; a slot to align and hold the saw at the top and a shelf to hold it the proper height is about all that this cabinet amounts to. It will of course have a door when it is complete, but for now it is ready for paint. I left one slot open in the event that I find another saw I can’t live without.
