Tonight I finished the post covers and installed them over the deck posts. I applied a coat of stain to them. The red lines you see above represent the design of this rail. The red lines represent 2" galvanized conduit that will be held to the posts with rough sawn material with appropriately sized holes drilled in them. The picture below shows the post top detail.
I finished the evening of work by fabricating the blanks for the conduit supports. I wanted to get the first coat of stain on them before boring the holes. The conduit will be supported with the supports, which will be screwed to the post covers with stainless steel screws.
