This is the only peony on the property and it predates our ownership. When we moved her it was located under the shade of a huge willow tree and for the first two or three years it would bush out but would not bloom. During most of this time we’d just mow it off since it didn’t do anything but get bushy. Eventually I dug it up and moved it further back in the yard and it has struggled to reestablish itself. The blooms, like all peonies are short lived; usually the wind takes them before we can enjoy it much. But this year the plant is providing a nice array of blooms and luckily the wind has not torn them up. We took this picture when the sky was completely overcast so will need to add more pictures if we get a sunny day.
