We usually don't work on Friday nights, but this week I did take time to inspect the sheet rock delivery and to set up the sheet rock jack that I picked up at the rental center. The sheetrock was delivered by the lumber yard and they sent a couple guys to get it off the truck and stacked in place. I will get on my sop box here. When I say lumber yard I mean a real lumber yard and not the newer style big box home centers. A home center has delivery service that you must pay for on every delivery, large or small. And when they get there there is no possible way that they would haul the sheets into the building. But my lumber yard, Mason City Lumber, offers stocking services for a small extra fee. And it was well worth the expense, these are 4' X 12' sheets of 5/8" thick sheet rock. The real project tonight was to fill all the open eave cavities with insulation to prevent blown in insulation from filling the cavity. I used some old insulation we removed from the master bedroom when we remodeled it. Now all I need is my helper and a couple days and the ceiling will be installed.
