I worked the entire evening in the old shop constructing the shelves that will cover the center of the granite. I started out with the cut-outs from the cabinets below, what would be considered waste. I edged it all around with 2 inch wide MDF and then shaped the front edge so it was round enough to allow the formica to be bent around it without any seams. Teh formica is a good match for the granite and will be covered with computer equipment.
