It was another wonderful day for weather, and a great day to get to work on the electrical service to the new storage building. My contractor friends showed up after lunch today and within 45 minutes we had a 4" wide, 18" deep trench dug from the new shop to the new storage building. The trencher hit several rocks and chunks of concrete but had no trouble rolling them out of the trench and kept going. I worked the rest of the afternoon getting 200 feet of 1" PVC conduit connected together and buried in the trench. To save the work of this long a pull, I fed the conduit over the 10-2 UF cable that will supply 120 volt to the shed. This will be a light duty service since we do not plan anything more than have a couple work lights and an outlet.
