There isn't a lot of showy progress tonight. In fact unless you know what to look for in the picture above you'll miss the work I completed. That is why I included the closer view below to show the installation of the gable end fascia returns. I glued them as well as used a long screw to hold them in place. This makes it possible for me to construct the cornor boards.
My plan was to go right to the shop and fabricate the corner boards, but as I passed the cherry shrubs I noticed that there was another load of ripe ones that needed picked before the birds got into them. Then I mowed the remaining lawn and by the time I finished it was dark with the sun setting on my project. So I will do the corners tomorrow.
