Today’s project was all about building boxes. I began by constructing the four drawers on the new west bench built-in. These drawers have standard glides with the bottom drawer being able to accept hanging folders.

My next project was a little like factory work. I cut up nearly two sheets of 1/2-inch plywood to make 36 nail and screw drawers. The pile of pieces on the table saw bench are all the sides, ends, and bottoms for these drawers. They are about 7 inches wide, 6 inches high and 12 inches deep. Two of these drawers fit into each opening on the upper wall cabinets that line the north wall. I have a lot of assembly to do before making these drawers look like a finished product.
