Our trip to Sunset, Utah - 2010

Our second day of travel began at 6:00 AM with a cool and sunny morning. The temperature remained in the lower 70's most of the day as we drove through the remainder of Nebraska, into Wyoming, and then into Utah. One of the prettiest rest stops along the way is the one at Echo, Utah with the huge red stone bluffs. We began to see a little fall color as we drove but there is so little vegitation at this rest stop that we had to settle for a small tree in the parking lot against the red bluffs. We made it to Layton about 4:00 PM and after checking in the motel we headed a few miles north to Sunset, Utah to meet up with Gary at his home. Brian's plane was delayed but he arrived at Gary's in plenty of time for a meal of fajitas. Gary prepared his version, beef flank steak or chicken, and Brian prepared shrimp. Both were fantastic as was the conversation.
